In the late '50s, a new publication was distributed at Venice High School - the Hi-Times. It was published every other week and had about 8 pages for each issue.

What's Up?
During at least the '50s and through the 60s, you had to read the What's Up! every day, if only to find out what was being served in the cafeteria. It was published daily and contained notices, reminders, who needed an admit slip from the principal's office in addition to the cafeteria menu.

The Price of Photos
The graduating class of 1960 had many things to accomplish before the big ceremony. Near the top of list was getting their Senior photos taken. To view the price list for Senior photos in 1960, click HERE.

Venice High School Student Body - 1921
The following two photos were taken Feb. 2, 1921, of the student body of Venice High School. The first is of the girls and the second is of the boys. The photographer misspelled the school name at the bottom "VENIS."

Venice High School - 1964


Venice High School - 1924. The high school was opened in 1917.


Decorated for opening of the McKinley Bridge in 1910.


The combine High School and Grade School circa 1915. The original building at the rear was built in 1868 and the front section was added 1n 1890 when more classrooms were needed.
